Pennies {From Heaven}.
There's a poem
Pennies From Heaven that I found after Logan died. My favorite part:
He said when an angel misses you
they toss a penny down
Sometimes just to cheer you up
make a smile out of your frown
So don’t pass by that penny
when you’re feeling blue
It may be a penny from heaven
that an angel tossed to you
Since reading this poem, I have only found pennies on "those" days when I really need something extra special. This particular penny was just outside my car door when I got to work after having a really rough morning (which most likely included tears). I had to snap a picture before picking it up and tucking it away in my pocket. These pennies let me know that Logan is near.
Day 11: Artwork
(Dislaimer: Since there are no "rules" to this challenge, I have changed a few of the days around to accommodate my schedule)
This is the only artwork I have for Logan. One of the NICU nurses created this on Halloween. When we came to visit Logan the next day it was hanging from his incubator. When the current shift nurse told me where it had come from I was incredibly touched. This was so thoughtful. I took it home that night and hung it on the fridge -- where all kids artwork goes. It has been hanging on the fridge, in that same spot, for nearly 2 years.
